refund policy

Return Policy for Teriyaki and Roll House – Los Angeles, California:

Purpose and Scope:

Effective date: [August 3, 2026]

Teriyaki Roll House is committed to preparing accurate orders and serving safe, quality food. Because prepared food is perishable and cannot be resold, all sales are generally final, subject to the order-correction and refund rules below.

This policy applies to dine-in, takeout, pickup, and orders placed directly through our official website. Orders placed through third-party platforms are also subject to the rules of the platform that collected the payment.

Check Your Order:

Dine-in customers must report missing, incorrect, or preparation-related items before leaving the restaurant.

Takeout and pickup customers are strongly encouraged to check the number of items, entrées, sides, drinks, sauces, paid add-ons, and confirmed special instructions before leaving.

After leaving, contact the restaurant as soon as reasonably possible. For missing or incorrect pickup items, reporting within 30 minutes is preferred because it improves our ability to verify and correct the order.

Proof of Purchase:

A receipt or online order number is the preferred proof of purchase.

If you do not have a receipt, provide enough information for us to locate the transaction, such as the name or phone number used, purchase date, approximate time, total amount, payment method, or last four digits of the payment card.

We may deny a request when the transaction cannot be reasonably verified, the claim conflicts with our records, or there is evidence of alteration, fraud, or repeated abuse.

Available Resolutions:

After reviewing the circumstances, an authorized manager may offer one of the following:

  • Correction or replacement of the affected item.
  • Refund of the affected item.
  • Restaurant credit, when appropriate.
  • Another reasonable service resolution approved by management.

A full-order refund is not normally issued when only one item is affected. The restaurant determines the appropriate resolution based on the verified issue, time elapsed, condition of the food, available evidence, and whether a prior resolution was already provided.

Food Already Consumed:

Refunds or replacements are generally not provided when most or all of the food has been consumed.

A customer may reasonably taste a limited amount before discovering a quality or preparation issue. Stop consuming the food and contact us promptly.

A credible food-safety concern will be escalated and reviewed even if some food was consumed.

No Refund for Preference or Customer Error:

Refunds are generally not available solely because the customer changed their mind, did not like the taste, ordered the wrong item, failed to review the menu description, or changed their mind about a requested customization.

Food that becomes cold or loses quality because of an unreasonable pickup or consumption delay is not normally eligible for a refund.

Management may approve a courtesy exception. A courtesy does not create a future entitlement.

Restaurant Error:

If we verify that we omitted a paid item, prepared the wrong item, or failed to follow a confirmed customization, our normal remedy is to correct or replace the affected item.

If replacement is not practical, an authorized manager may approve a refund or credit for the affected item.

Allergies and Food-Safety Concerns:

Customers must communicate allergies before ordering. Our kitchen handles multiple ingredients in shared preparation and cooking areas; unless expressly confirmed otherwise, we cannot guarantee an item is completely free from allergens or cross-contact.

For a possible food-safety concern: stop consuming the food, preserve the remaining food and packaging when reasonably possible, and contact the restaurant promptly with the order details.

Food-safety concerns are handled separately from ordinary preference complaints and are escalated to management. Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

Direct Website Orders:

For orders placed directly through our official website, contact the restaurant promptly and provide the order number, name, date and time, affected item, and a description of the issue.

A photograph may be requested when it is relevant and reasonable, but it is not required when the issue can be verified another way.

Third-Party Platforms:

For orders placed through DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, or another third-party platform, refund and delivery claims should normally be submitted through that platform because it collected the payment.

Teriyaki Roll House may assist with verifying preparation or order contents, but may be unable to issue a direct refund for funds collected by the platform.

Food-safety concerns should also be reported directly to the restaurant.

Refund Method and Timing:

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method. Card purchases are not normally refunded in cash.

The time for a refund to appear depends on the bank, card issuer, payment processor, or third-party platform.

Tips, delivery fees, platform charges, and similar amounts may be handled according to who collected them and the applicable platform rules.

Fraud, Abuse, and Duplicate Compensation:

We may deny claims involving altered receipts, unsupported repeated complaints, claims for items not included in the verified purchase, or attempts to receive both a replacement and a refund for the same issue.

Legitimate complaints will be reviewed individually and respectfully.

Receipt, Verification, and Product Substitution:

No refund, replacement, or restaurant credit will be issued unless the purchase can be reasonably verified through a receipt, order number, or accurate transaction information.

If a printed receipt is unavailable, the customer must provide enough correct information to locate the transaction, such as the name or phone number used, date, approximate time, total amount, payment method, last four card digits when applicable, and items ordered.

Providing information does not automatically create a right to a refund. The claim must be consistent with the restaurant’s records and the circumstances must support the requested resolution.

Customers may not require employees to exchange a correctly prepared product for a different menu item solely because of personal preference, change of mind, or a later decision to order something else.

Teriyaki Roll House prepares menu items according to established recipes, ingredients, portions, and quality standards. A correctly prepared item will not be replaced merely because the customer prefers a different product.

When a verified restaurant error occurred, the normal resolution is limited to correcting or replacing the affected item. Any courtesy substitution requires authorization from an authorized manager and payment of any applicable price difference.

Food-safety, allergy, contamination, injury, or foreign-object complaints are escalated separately and are not automatically rejected solely because the customer lacks a receipt.
